
Polo Enriquez has been the Executive Director of the Copperas Cove EDC since April 2010. His work in economic involvement goes back to 1985 while he was working for a major utility company in California.
Polo’s previous economic development experience includes developing and implementing business attraction programs and services in Centralia, Washington, Hutto, Texas, the State of California and Pacific Gas & Electric Company. He also served as Executive Director of the Sacramento, California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a 1200 member organization.
A native Texan, Polo was born and raised in Alice, Texas, a rural community 50 miles west of Corpus Christi.
Aside from his daily operations responsibilities, Polo is charged with developing key policies, real estate development and managing the corporation’s project investments. He reports to the Copperas Cove EDC Board of Directors and oversees the activities of two staff members.
Polo is an active member of the Copperas Cove Rotary Club as well as the Texas Economic Development Council and the International Economic Development Council. Polo lives in Copperas Cove with his wife Peggy and daughter Mackenzie.
