Business Development
Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation recognizes the importance of existing businesses in the community and works with them to address their needs and help them to succeed in the community. Through collaboration with local, regional, state and federal economic development allies, CCEDC makes available training and other sought after resources to its existing businesses to facilitate growth.
Whether your business is expanding or struggling, let CCEDC work to help or direct you to the services you need.
Small Business Skills Development
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Skills for Small Business program was created to meet the needs of Texas’ more than 433,000 small businesses that have fewer than 100 employees.
Training through this program will increase competitiveness, upgrade the skills of current employees and prepare newly hired workers for job requirements. Tuition and fees are funded up to $1,450 per newly hired full-time employees and up to $725 per full-time incumbent employees. New hires are any employee who has worked 90 days or less for your company. Training must be provided by a public community or technical college, or the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX). Eligible courses include credit, continuing education, online or other available published and unpublished courses.
