The Wage & Benefit Survey and Analysis for Central Texas required the efforts of a team of specialists ranging from economic developers to economists.

The analysis of the Central Texas labor force leads to several conclusions: the area has a highly skilled and very well-educated labor pool; the majority of unemployed will work for under $20 per hour; and has a good supply of available part-time and shift labor.

Located just off the high-tech corridor between Dallas and Austin, Copperas Cove is rapidly becoming the preferred location for back office, light industries, and retail operations. Community incentives will be equally available to qualifying existing businesses and those recruited from outside Coryell County.

Negotiable local incentives are awarded based on an Economic Impact Analysis. Incentives might include workforce training funds, relocation allowances, infrastructure improvements, developed or undeveloped land, one-stop municipal permitting, waiver of municipal fees, Reinvestment Zone plus Job Fair assistance and sponsorship.
