Monica Hull Awarded IAMC Fellow Designation

IAMC Welcomes a New Class of Fellows

Monica Hull Awarded IAMC Fellow DesignationAUSTIN,TEXAS, April 24, 2012 — Today, the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) awarded 19 members the IAMC Fellow designation, including Monica Hull, Copperas Cove EDC Director of Business Development. IAMC Fellows have completed the Leadership Development Program, participating in five leadership seminars in four learning categories: individual, team, emotional intelligence and general leadership. Since 2006, 90 candidates have earned the IAMC Fellow designation. There are currently 565 members of IAMC worldwide.

Copperas Cove EDC Sells Property to C-Cove Partners

On February 7, 2012, the Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) completed the sale of the Phase I of the Shops at Five Hills to C-Cove 90 Partners, Ltd. Just over 58 acres were purchased for $932,895, signalling the beginning of the end of a project that began in 2005. The property is located on the eastern edge of Copperas Cove, bounded by the Southeast Bypass that is currently under construction, US Highway 190, and Constitution Drive.

Texas leads the way when it comes to states that will add the most jobs

The Texas jobs miracle has received a lot of attention since Rick Perry announced his candidacy for president in August. The numbers are impressive. Texas added 1.2 million net jobs since Perry took office as Texas Governor in December 2000, while the U.S. as a whole lost 1.1 million jobs during the same time.

Texas Claims 'Top Business Climate' Title

NORCROSS, Ga. (Site Selection) – Texas has claimed the top slot in Site Selection magazine's "Top Business Climate 2011" contest.  

The Lone Star State finished strong in the objective, data-driven component of the index used to determine the top business climates, as well as in the subjective input supplied by respondents to the magazine's annual executive survey of site selectors.

CCEDC Board of Directors Adopts Strategic Plan

Copperas Cove EDCOn March 24, 2011, the Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) Board of Directors held an all-day retreat to discuss the creation of a strategic plan for the corporation. This plan will guide the organization in its economic development efforts, focusing on several key issues, such as business retention, business attraction, business development and infrastructure projects over the next couple of years.
